Although the view from my “office” window today is all snowy white……spring really is right around the corner!
I feel for my little bluebird and redwing black bird friends who have already arrived.
Gary and I put up 6 new bluebird boxes and have created a bluebird “trail” with our neighbors.
We hope with the new nesting boxes, the bluebirds will not have to fight with the barn swallows anymore. So be sure to bring your binoculars up for bird watching.
(I do also have several pairs of binoculars here for guests to use, in case you forget)
Spring garden theme on the mantel
Some of my prim collection, and several of Gary’s paintings that are available to purchase.
Right now we are busy on the weekends with guests, but soon it will be non-stop until October. Gary and I have been working on some updates around the B&B.
The parlor has a lovely fresh new coat of paint, trim has been re-stained and new curtains have been hung. Our little shared hallway bath is now getting a new paint color and additional updates. As soon as we can get outside, we will be working up sprucing up the front porch and parkway areas. Very excited about the updates.
Spring cookbook (s) crush……
I am currently also working on my Spring cookbook series.
I will be creating breakfast menus from these 3 favorite cookbooks…..Sarabeth’s Good Morning cookbook by Sarabeth Levine,
The Amish Cook’s Family Favorites by Lovina Eicher and The Art of Breakfast by Dana Moos……yummy stuff!
