Chocolate Chia Almond Cherry Granola~
A new recipe here at the Applesauce Inn B&B and it is a good one!
Cocoa Chia Almond Cherry Granola
Makes 4 cups
3 cups rolled oats
½ cup slivered almonds
1 cup flaked coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp cocoa powder (I use unsweetened)
3 tbsp chia seeds
¾ cup real maple syrup
3 tbsp coconut oil
¾ cup chocolate chips (I use Ghirardelli 60% dark choc chips)
½ cup chopped dried tart cherries (Montmorency)
Toss 1st 6 ingredients together in large bowl. Melt coconut oil with maple syrup in small sauce pan (do not boil), add vanilla once melted. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Spread on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 325, 30-35 minutes. Let cool completely, add in chocolate chips and dried cherries! Store in an air-tight container.
